NEW APP PLATFORM INCLUDES ON-DEMAND BOOKINGS VIA THE ‘GO MUVE’ APP AVAILABLE ON iOS AND ANDROID
Grand Rapids, MI – July 14, 2022 – Ride YourWay, 5-star rated wheelchair and ambulatory transportation provider in Kent County, together with their technology partner, MUVE, an innovator in inclusive mobility solutions, announced today the launch of their transportation app ‘Go MUVE’ in West Michigan. Through this collaboration, a mobility eco- system has been created to enable communities in Kent County to book on-demand and fixed route, accessible transportation.
“Our relationship with MUVE lets us now offer user-friendly e-reservations using the Go MUVE app, further supporting the communities we serve. MUVE’s tech has enabled Ride YourWay to provide elevated mobility standards for Kent County by improving access to transportation solutions for people of all abilities,” stated Thomas Sikkema, Founder & CEO of Ride YourWay.
“We’re extremely pleased to be working with the entire Ride YourWay team, supporting them in our collective quest to eliminate mobility barriers. In addition to e-reservations, the Go MUVE app includes a ‘tagging’ feature that enables users to identify various levels of accessibility within their community. This feature lets users tag events, businesses, facilities, and public areas by answering a few simple questions related to mobility and accessibility, further enriching the value of the platform for Kent County,” said Peter Grande, co-Founder of MUVE.
Mr. Sikkema continued: “Ride YourWay’s mission is to ‘remove the barriers in a world that prevent people from living their best life’ and we’re excited to be further supporting this with the new services that MUVE’s technology provides.” Go MUVE’s events and tagging modules are designed to close the disability divide by enabling users to tag accessible locations, making communities inclusive and accessible to everyone.
MUVE’s mobility eco-system suite, including dispatch mapping, real-time information driver updates, rider on-demand bookings and fixed route scheduling, was released in Washtenaw County in June 2022 in conjunction with the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE). Expansion into Kent County validates the success of the company’s mobility solutions.
